Can I Do a Ladakh Bike Trip Without a Backup Vehicle?

Hi bikers,

I’m considering doing the Ladakh bike trip with just a friend — no backup jeep or mechanic. We’ll be carrying spares and doing basic maintenance ourselves.

I saw a planning article that shared pros and cons of riding unsupported. Has anyone here gone without a backup? How did you manage breakdowns or emergencies?
